Metallurgical Lab Technician | EAG Laboratories

EAG is seeking a Metallographer/Metallurgical Laboratory Technician to join our team of Metallurgists and Senior Failure Analysis Consultants.  Essential Job Functions:Perform metallographic sample preparation on a variety of metals and materials using methods that include:Sectioning with saws/cutting tools; using a variety of hand tools to disassemble components and extract specimens.Handling delicate one-of-a-kind samples.Vacuum encapsulation metal/materials in a variety of mounting media.Precision sample preparation of specimens using a variety of abrasives with both manual and automated procedures.Chemical etching to reveal the microstructure.Optical microscopy using metallographs and lighting techniques.
